Filling with escaping

A value is text from a writer. Text from a writer can contain the shape of a page, and the shape is the reason escaping exists.

What you will see

One line with a reason. The permission is named, which is the claim.

Try It

Prove a tag answers as text

1

Write the table

printf 'lt <\ngt >\namp &\n' > /tmp/t.txt; wc -l < /tmp/t.txt

Before you run it, say out loud what it will print. Then open the answer.

What it prints
3. Three lines is the table, which is a file.
2

Escape a title

printf 'a

Before you run it, say out loud what it will print. Then open the answer.

What it prints
a<b. The tag became text, which is the proof.
3

Name the passed hole

printf 'hole=body escaped=false reason=already-shaped\n' > /tmp/n.txt; cat /tmp/n.txt

Before you run it, say out loud what it will print. Then open the answer.

What it prints
One line with a reason. The permission is named, which is the claim.

Data Flow

A value to escaped text
1 The table is written
↓
2 Every hole except the named one is escaped
↓
3 A tag in a value answers as text
↓
4 The named hole is passed through
Why this works
Why the unescaped hole is named

A hole that is not escaped is a permission. A permission that is named is a permission that can be argued with.

The test that must exist

A title with a tag in it answers with the tag as text. The answer is the whole proof.

Examples

The escape is a table

A character to a name. A table is a file, and a file is what a reader can check.

Escaping is not optional

Every hole is escaped. Every is the decision, and the decision is why a title cannot open a tag.

One hole is not escaped

The body, because the body is already shaped. A hole that is not escaped is a hole that is named as such.
